The Frenzel Lending Library at Goodell Gardens is comprised of more than 300 total gardening books from the collections of Carrie & Margaret Goodell and those donated to Goodell Gardens by former Board of Directors member Robert Frenzel. The library is located in the Museum Room inside the Goodell Gardens Welcome Center.

While anyone may read any of the books in the library inside the Welcome Center, only members of Goodell Gardens have borrowing privileges. Books not marked “Library Use Only” may be borrowed for up to three weeks. To borrow a book, please present your membership card, along with the book you wish to borrow, at the front desk at our Welcome Center.

To search our library, please use the menu below, or visit goodelllibary.librarika.com.

A very special, heartfelt thanks goes out to our volunteer Library Team Linda Cook, Anne Hickok, Karen Todd and David Obringer for helping to make the library possible. The Library Team donated hundreds of hours to organize, catalog and process the collection to get it ready for lending. THANK YOU.

And, of course, many thanks go out to Mr. Frenzel for his generous in-kind donation of his entire collection of gardening books.
