GOLDEN HOUR PHOTO CLUB
While the Gardens at Goodell are magical all the time, they are especially beautiful during Golden Hour, the period of daylight shortly before sunset. During the enchanted time the light is soft and long, low rays of sunlight make the Gardens aglow in a beautiful golden essence.
Who can join?
We realize this is a sought-after time for photographers – hobbyist and professional alike – to take photos in the Gardens and on our grounds. And so, Golden Hour Photo Club was born.
When is it?
This event will take place on nine select Thursday Evenings June – October, and the time has been carefully chosen to give you 90 minutes of photo time at Goodell during Golden Hour.
is there a cost?
To help support our work, for the use of our Gardens which have taken more than a century of care, and to help offset staff time to host these events, there will be a nominal fee for folks who are not currently members of Goodell Gardens at the $100 Contributor or higher level.
Do I need to register?
To help us prepare, we ask that all photographers – members or not – register ahead of time so we can anticipate your attendance.

PLEASE NOTE:
ANY PHOTO SESSIONS TAKEN OUTSIDE OF GOLDEN HOUR PHOTO CLUB MUST ADHERE TO THE POLICY BELOW.
As a nonprofit organization, we do ask that any professional photographers who use our site make an appointment with us so that we can make sure you’re not scheduled during an event, large construction project, or rental, and we do charge a fee to help support those beautiful Gardens that make such a nice backdrop.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY: Visitors are welcome to take snapshots for personal use during their visit to the Gardens. Professional photoshoots (Wedding, Senior Picture, Family Portraits, etc.) MUST be scheduled with our office by phone (814-734-6699) ahead of time and will incur a fee of no less than $5 PER PERSON to help support the Gardens. This
fee is waived for photos taken during wedding/party site rentals.
PHOTOGRAPHERS ONSITE AFTER HOURS WITHOUT PERMISSION ARE TRESSPASSING AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. REPEAT OFFENSES MAY INVOLVE LAW ENFORCEMENT.
